DPG started In 2006 with Coi, a small, quirky fine dining restaurant that helped to change how people cook in Northern California. Over the last ten years we've opened six additional restaurants and bars in the Bay Area, and trained many chefs and restaurateurs.
Along the way we co-founded The Cooking Project, a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to teaching kids and young adults fundamental cooking skills. Most recently we teamed up with Los Angeles chef Roy Choi to launch LocoL, a revolutionary fast-food company designed to bring good jobs and real food to communities.
In 2017 DPG was absorbed into Alta Group. Alta Group is a restaurant management company that now operates Alta, Plum Bar and Alfred's.
